The UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights says everyone has the right
to a standard of living that allows for their health and well-being, including food,
clothing, housing, medical care, and social services.
The ILO Minimum Wage Fixing Convention (No. 131) says governments must:
- set a minimum wage for all workers, considering the needs of workers and
their families.
- enforce the law to ensure workers are paid properly.
